After their story was cut from season 8, Love Is Blind stars Kylie Schuelke and Brian Sumption wanted to show fans a bit of insight into their relationship over the past year.
On Thursday, March 6, Kylie, 28, took to social media to share some photos of her and Brian, 30. The pictures documented the pair going to a concert together, attending a Minnesota Vikings game, going on a boat and several vacations.
“A year of love, laughter, and memories… but still no Love is Blind reveal photo. 😂@Netflix, we’re ready! 💕📸,” Kylie captioned the post.
Several fans of the Netflix show took to the comment section to express their wishes of getting to see their love story on TV.
“SO SAD we didn’t get to see you guys. I disagree with Netflix’s decision 100%. Why was there 5 episodes of the same 3 people 🤣living for all of your posts right now!” one user wrote while another shared, “WE WERE ROBBED.”
Brian and Kylie were among the Minneapolis-based contestants who were trying to find The One in the season 8 pods. While seven couples ended up getting engaged, including Brian and Kylie, only five were followed out of the pods.
“We told more stories than we’ve ever told. We told the stories of 16 people this season, which is why we have more pod episodes,” executive producer Chris Coelen told Variety in February. “There were two other engaged couples we didn’t follow.”
Coelen, 57, noted that that’s “always how the edit works out” and that they “film everything” and “go back and look at how [they] got there.”
“We put the pieces together,” he explained to the outlet. “As always, we’re trying to pick the stories that resonate and that we feel are worthy of telling because they lean into authenticity.”
Although Kylie and Brian weren’t included in the final edit, the couple aren’t too upset that they weren’t shown.
“Ultimately, we went on Love Is Blind to find love — and we did just that,” Kylie told Netflix on Monday, March 3. “The experiment worked for us, and now we get to write our own story.”
Brian added that he developed a “really effortless” connection with Kylie in the pods.
“We had a very similar sense of humor and everything really flowed naturally,” he shared to the outlet. “After we aligned on the important aspects of life, we didn’t really take things too seriously and just had fun together.”
