Simone Ashley is breaking down exactly how she would do her makeup for a date night.
The Bridgerton star, 29, opened up about her “very simple” glam routine during an episode of Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” series, which was posted via YouTube on Thursday, March 4.
Ashley kicked off her routine with the La Mer The Energizing Gel Cleanser, which she loves “so much.”
“I never grew up doing a skincare routine,” Ashely admitted. “But everything I do, I really like it simple, otherwise I feel like I’m overloading my face.” Next, the actress reached for the Goldfaden MD Doctor’s Scrub Exfoliator, which she applied around her nose and on her lips.
Ashley, who has combination skin of oily and dry, patted her skin with a towel before massaging the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Lotion Daily Repair Moisturizing Lotion into her skin before finishing her skincare routine with the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40.
“I was very naive and I thought because I have dark skin I didn’t need to use sunscreen,” Ashley explained, noting that “dark skin needs sun protection just as much.”
After her skin was prepped, she started her beat with the L’Oreal Paris Plump Ambition Hyaluronic Lip Oil — instead of foundation, because she likes to “see the vision as it’s developing.”
Ashley then added dimension to her face with blush, but instead of using a typical method, she patted her go-to lipstick, the Armani Beauty Lip Power Long-Lasting Lipstick, onto a blush and tapped it into her cheeks.
She then filled in her brows, which she said looked a bit “crazy” with a combination of the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.
Ashely then gushed over her color corrector, which she swore “changed [her] life” when it came to covering up “shadows” on her face. She went in around her nose, lips and under her eyes.
She also used the Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator as a foundation, because she doesn’t like how having too much makeup on her face feels. “Less is more for me,” Ashely shared as she used the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Walnut — which she found from a Bridgerton makeup artist — under her eyes and around her pout.

“Bridgerton feels very transformative,” Ashley said. “I turn up at 5 a.m. in my pajamas and then hours later I step out looking like a viscountess, which is amazing. We go through such a transformation with the wigs, the makeup, the dresses.” Ashely continued, praising the glam team for teaching her “so much.”
While she couldn’t tease any spoilers for the upcoming season 4, she did spill, “As the characters progress, their hair, their makeup, their hair, their costumes all progress with them.
Ashley then continued with her makeup routine, adding a touch of pigment to her eyelids with the Rare Beauty Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick. She tied her glam together with black eyeliner on her waterline, which she smudged out with her finger and the L’Oreal Paris Paradise Big Deal Mascara.
